Care For Life: Suicide Prevention Assoc. is a suicide prevention organisation based on the Gold Coast. Since 1998 Care For Life has spent significant time and resources developing an initiative called the Youth Info Card. This information resource encourages young people to access local support services. The card is updated every second year and is currently in its seventh update.

Another Care For Life initiative is The Young People’s Help and Information Page which is located in the White Pages telephone directory. It is a comprehensive list of Gold Coast government, youth and community services. The Young People’s Help and Information Page is in its eight edition, having been initially introduced in 2004.

This report describes a formal evaluation of the two projects. The research was conducted in 2011
to begin assessing the project’s effectiveness and determine if there was ongoing community
support for the strategies.
