To address issues leading to suicide and self-harming behaviour with those individuals suffering distress and misfortune or helplessness.

To support those people affected by mental illness, suicide and/or self harming behaviour.

To provide support services and information to those individuals/families who have lost loved ones to suicide.

To research, develop and implement strategies for the prevention of suicide.

To promote and provide education and training in the prevention of suicide, self-harming behaviour and postvention to individuals within the community.

To promote within the community awareness on issues relating to suicide and mental health and enhance the individuals ability to promote resilience and positive help seeking behaviour.

The Care for Life: Suicide Prevention Association (the Association) will establish and maintain a separate Public Fund, to be administered by a separate management committee, for the specific purpose of the promotion of the prevention or control of behaviour that is harmful or abusive to human beings. The fund shall be known as ‘Care For Life Suicide Prevention Fund’ to which all gifts of money or property for the principal activity of the organisation are made and any money received because of such gifts must be credited to its bank account that does not receive any other money or property.
